about

Formed in 2018, Afrodelic is an intriguing mix of African music and electronic rhythms. Since the release of second single Weleli (The Call) which was well received by radio stations in France, Afrodelic has performed in various showcase festivals including Liverpool Sound City (UK), Primavera Pro (Spain), Tallinn Music Week (Estonia), Europe Music Day (France) and supported Fatoumata Diawara in Italy.
The third single is “I Tara Fan Fan” (translation: If you go from coast to coast) with Erica Jennings on vocal and rap duties. The official video was captured during a trip from Lithuania to Mali with old cars. The filmed material was released as a documentary by LRT (Lithuanian National Radio and Television) called „Afrika. LT 9680 km".
The song features lyrics by Victor’s father, acclaimed Malian writer Gaoussou Diawara – just like the rest of the forthcoming album. Most of the songs on the debut album were recorded in Bamako with local musicians and singers. Victor then reworked the recordings adding electronic sounds and rhythms in his studio in Vilnius.
